Data deletion

# Delete your data

Last updated: 31 October 2026

## If you commented on or messaged one of our Instagram accounts

You can ask us to delete the data our Instagram comment-keyword replier holds about you. It takes one email.

1. Email [gabay.oren3@gmail.com](mailto:gabay.oren3@gmail.com) with the subject "Delete my Instagram data".

2. Tell us your Instagram username and which of our accounts you commented on or messaged, so we can find the right records. We will never ask for your password.

3. We will delete the records linked to you and confirm by email within 30 days. We aim to do it sooner, usually within 7 days.

You can also send **STOP** as a direct message to the account. We then record that you opted out and the replier sends you no more automated messages from that account. That opt-out entry holds your Instagram-scoped user id so we can honour it. If you want it deleted too, say so in your deletion email, but then automated messages could start again if you comment a keyword later.

## What the replier stores about you

- **Handled-reply record:** the comment id (or your Instagram-scoped user id for a direct message), the Instagram account that handled it, the keyword that matched, what was done (private reply, public reply or direct-message reply), the status and any error code from Instagram, and timestamps. Your username may be stored with it.

- **Opt-out record:** your Instagram-scoped user id and username, if you sent STOP.

- The replier does not save the text of your comment or message in its own records, and it does not receive your email, phone number or password from Instagram. The separate OpenReply campaign tool on the same server can keep a DM log with comment text, display name and ids. Deletion requests cover that too.

## How long we keep it

These records have no automatic expiry today. We keep them only to avoid replying to the same comment twice and to honour STOP, and we delete them when you ask. We also review and clear old records at least once a year.

## If you connected an Instagram account to our app

1. Open the dashboard, go to Settings and choose Disconnect. This deletes the stored access token and the account's connection record, along with its campaigns and DM logs.

2. In Instagram, go to Settings and activity, Apps and websites, and remove the app. This revokes its access on Instagram's side.

3. Email us if you also want the replier's handled-reply and opt-out records for that account deleted.

## What stays

Nothing linked to you, except records we are legally required to keep. We do not keep separate backups of the replier records. If a server backup is ever taken, it is overwritten or deleted within 35 days.
