# Free Instagram audit

The free audit is a skill for Claude Code. Type "audit @yourpage" and it reads the public page, logged out, scores every post against that page's own median, and writes a report with the outliers, the strongest format and five ideas for your next posts. It costs nothing.

[Get the free audit on Whop →](https://whop.com/content-engine-hq/?utm_source=site&utm_medium=pages&utm_campaign=free-instagram-audit)[Comment-keyword explainer](https://content-engine-emh.pages.dev/blog/comment-to-dm-instagram-funnel-explained/)

## What you get

- The outliers (posts at 1.5 times the page's usual or better) and the flops.
- The strongest format (reel, carousel or image) and the hook patterns that pull ahead, each with how many posts it rests on.
- What a "Comment KEYWORD" ask does to comments and likes.
- Posting rhythm: posts a week, gaps, weekdays.
- With two or more pages: a leaderboard and your page beside the best-ranked ones.
- A plain-English read and five original post ideas written by Claude.

## How it behaves

- Public pages only, logged out. It never asks for a password or cookies and never likes, follows, comments or messages.
- It opens a browser window you can watch, one page at a time, with pauses between posts and pages. About 3 minutes a page.
- Logged out, Instagram shows about the 12 most recent posts, so that is what it reads.
- No browser? Use the paste path: put your posts in a CSV and the maths still runs.

Instagram's terms restrict automated collection. Keep the built-in limits, use it on your own page and a few pages you want to learn from, and use the paste path if you are unsure.

## The comment-keyword part

A comment-keyword funnel asks viewers to comment a word, then sends the commenter a direct message. The audit measures what that kind of ask does to comments and likes on pages you read, so you can see it before you copy it. How the mechanism works under Meta's rules, and what Meta says about asking for comments, is in our explainer: [Instagram comment-to-DM funnels explained](https://content-engine-emh.pages.dev/blog/comment-to-dm-instagram-funnel-explained/). Terms are in the [glossary](https://content-engine-emh.pages.dev/glossary/).

## Install

You need Claude Code, Node.js 20 or newer and about 3 GB of free disk. Python 3.10 or newer is optional. After downloading from Whop, run `npm run setup` once, start `claude`, and type `audit @yourpage`.

Free download: [Whop page](https://whop.com/content-engine-hq/?utm_source=site&utm_medium=pages&utm_campaign=free-instagram-audit). If you like it, the paid [Content Engine](https://content-engine-emh.pages.dev/products/) uses the same idea of scoring against a page's own median.
